Ever since Surgeon played Whitehouse on Rodz Konez I have been fascinated in 'noise music.'

How far can the human mind go in terms of sound?

Noise music is extreme in every way, it isolates the listener, there is no compromising here. Like alot of music that is made to comfort us, noise music sets out to do the opposite. Very few people want to be challenged in this way.

Noise personally is a cathartic experience for me. To combine noise with techno has been something I have been interested in doing for some time and thanks to 'Smear' for releasing 'Corrupted Veins' one of the most groundbreaking noise-techno crossover tracks since British Murder Boys' - Learn Your Lesson. Smears track has really inspired me to do this by showing me the potential that can come from the marriage of two extreme styles of music.

There are 3 track clips here. Taken from a Rodz-Konez livefeed transmission in 2006 mixed by Akkachar. He wont tell me himself! (I've asked him twice and got no response)
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me what they are.

1. An epic ambient song. Angelic and shimmering synth washes with western style whistling and trickling piano keys.


2. Ethereal ambient drones with random buzzing hits. In a similar style to Tim Hecker and Fennesz.


3. Dark heavy slow industrial beats

Mix 13: Guns

Some beats are so vicious they sound like guns going off. Some sounds are so brutal they capture what I would believe it to be like if I was standing in the middle of a war zone. We all know how bad war is yet it seems that our race will never learn, violence appears to be a part of our natural behaviour. Guns for me are phallic instruments designed by man to replicate the sexual act through violence. There has always been a fine line between the two.
This mix is a raw statement against this brutality however I am ashamed to admit that I loved making it as much as I love listening to it. Go figure.
